Many websites nowadays ask for permission to send you notifications through your browser. Enabling notifications on YouTube allows the subscribers to get notified whenever their favourite YouTuber channel upload a new video.
Though most users may prefer leaving this feature switched on, in order to always get notifications of new videos from their favorite channels. But if you find this feature annoying, you can try to turn off youtube notifications.
Disable or Enable YouTube desktop notifications
Login to YouTube.com with Browser. Click on the notification bell icon and click on settings.
“Choose when and how to be notified” , “Select push and email notifications you’d like to receive” The General settings, beneath Your preferences, flip the notification you do not want to receive from On to Off orr Off to On.
In this section, we can turn off notification separately like Subscriptions, Recommended videos, Activity on my channel, etc. When you turn a notification off, it will turn from blue to gray. In the below, I turned off YouTube notifications for Recommended videos
