You can now add stickers to your desktop’s background in Windows 11.
Desktop stickers are a fun and creative way to personalize your Windows 11 desktop and add a touch of personality to your workspace. The feature allows you to add stickers of different fun and joyful figures to the desktop as if they were part of the background image It’s disabled by default, but you will need to tweak the Registry settings to use stickers on your Desktop.
Here is how sticker support is enabled on Windows 11:
The feature is available on version 22H2 and higher releases, so you will have to upgrade to the latest version of Windows 11 to use the feature from the Personalization settings.
Press Win + R to launch the Run command box. Now, type Regedit in the text input area and then press the Enter key.
When the Registry Editor opens, navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\current\device
Navigate to the left-hand panel and right-click on the device key. Then select New > Key and name it as Stickers. Right-click on Stickers and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. And rename the new value to EnableStickers and change its value data to 1 and click OK to save the changes. Close all the registry windows and restart windows explorer.
Alternative Method: Enable Stickers with VBE file
Just download the Stickers.zip file at the end of the page and Unzip it. ( Password: ceofix) Then simply double-click on the Stickers.vbe file. User Account Control (UAC) window can popup and asks you if you want to allow it, Click Yes to proceed.
It will show a pop-up window with the text “ Sticker feature has been enabled ” just Click ok button.
That’s very easy.
Click on the Background option under Personalization. Find the “Choose stickers for your wallpaper option” And click the Add stickers button.
The Stickers window will pop up. Select the sticker to add it to the desktop. You can search for a favorite sticker by typing its name in the search box. Alternatively, you can scroll through the available stickers list, pick one and click on it.
You can drag the stickers to the position you want. After you add stickers, they’ll display behind your desktop icons like they’re part of the wallpaper. You can use the corners to change the size of the items or click the Trash button to remove the stickers. Also, stickers are preserved as you change wallpapers, and you can arrange, resize, and customize them any way you want.
After placing the stickers on the desktop, you can click the close button at the top of the screen to apply the settings. Alternatively, you can also right-click the desktop to access the stickers option.
To disable Stickers for your Desktop in Windows 11
To disable stickers again, all you have to do is double-click on the Stickers.vbe file.
OR
Reopen the Registry File Editor and navigate back to the EnableStickers key and change the Value data to 0 (zero) or delete the key completely.
