Do you know how much RAM you have in your PC? When a user wants to add or upgrade memory (RAM) in a computer, they need to know how many memory slots are available.
Memory is not the same as disk space. RAM is the main memory in a computer. Alternatively referred to as main memory, primary memory, or system memory, RAM (random-access memory) is a hardware device that allows information to be stored and retrieved on a computer. It is much faster to read from and write to than other kinds of storage, such as a hard disk drive (HDD), solid-state drive (SSD) or optical drive. Computers rely on Random Access Memory, or RAM, to store and perform all their active tasks and operations. In other words, if you use more applications on your computer, more RAM will be used to keep each application and process running. You will need to add more RAM to your computer if you need to open and work on more applications.
How to Check Your Computer’s RAM on Windows
Open the Task Manager using the CTRL + Shift + Esc shortcut keys and switch to the Performance tab. And click Memory to view RAM usage and specifications.
