Hidden files, folders, and drives do not show by default in Windows. This protects important files from being deleted so that the system isn’t damaged. You may need to view a hidden file in Windows 10 for many reasons.
Follow these steps to show hidden files.
This option is easily accessible in File Explorer on Windows 8 and 10.
Open File Explorer on Windows 10 and click the “View” tab.
