Hidden files, folders, and drives do not show by default in Windows. This protects important files from being deleted so that the system isn’t damaged. You may need to view a hidden file in Windows 10 for many reasons.
Follow these steps to show hidden files.
This option is easily accessible in File Explorer on Windows 8 and 10.
Open File Explorer on Windows 10 and click the “View” tab.

Then select the “Hidden items” checkbox to show the hidden files.
Alternatively, you can show hidden files via the Folder Options in Windows.
Click the “File” button on Windows Explorer’s toolbar and and then select “Options” to open the Folder Options.
Open the View tab and select the Show hidden files, folders, and drives option and choose OK to confirm.
Ok. That’s all. If you need to hide the files again, remove the checkmark in the “Show/hide” menu or change the setting in the Folder Options.
