The built-in Windows Calculator app can do way more than what you think it’s capable of doing.
Calculator’s Currency Converter features an offline mode. This is a very useful addition for those of you roaming internationally. One of the advantages it provides is you don’t require an internet connection to use the currency converter except for the time when the exchange rates need to be updated.
How to convert currency into Windows calculator
Type “Calculator” into theSearch bar and open the native Windows Calculator. It should be the first result that appears after you hit enter.
Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper left corner of the window. Locate Currency in the Converter section and select. Now, you can select the input and output currencies using the respective drop-down arrows. Choose Currency, for example, to convert from dollars to Euros.
To convert $50 into Euros, for example, enter 50 into Calculator’s type pad by clicking the calculator buttons. Beneath that, use the drop-down menu to choose Euros, or the type of currency you’d like to convert.
Note: Although Windows automatically updates the exchange rates, they might not be up to date if you haven’t connected to the internet in a while. Click Update rate to refresh the exchange rates.
