You can move the desktop icons and arrange them as per your convenience. But Sometimes desktop icons don’t move where you want them it’s just not possible.
An icons is a small pictures or objects that represents a files, programs, web pages or commands. You should be able to arrange your desktop icons however you want. However, there are times when the icons may stop moving, causing difficulty in arranging them as per your requirement.
Example, that when you drag n drop some desktop icons or shortcuts from one place to another, the icons aren’t moved and bounced back to their original positions and Windows automatically arranges desktop icons. Here is how you can fix that.
Desktop icons don’t move where I want them
Right click on a blank area on your Desktop on an empty space and from the context menu select View. Now, if the Auto-arrange icons option is checked, uncheck the “Auto arrange icons” option and “align icons to grid” from the sub-menu.
Now Windows should you not get in the way and you should now be able to move the icons to their appropriate positions on the desktop.
That’s All.
