The Camera app in Windows 10 lets you use your webcam to record videos and take photos. There are numerous situations where you want to be sure your camera is on or off but aren’t sure. When the webcam is being used by an application, its LED usually turns on to notify the user that the webcam is currently working. But If that light is broken, you may not always be sure. Also Some camera models do not have LED notification at all. If you like, you can enable to briefly show Camera on and Camera off on-screen display (OSD) notifications each time the camera is turned on and off to help make sure you know. However, this setting is hidden in the registry and there is no way for the user to enable or disable it in the GUI. The system itself activates it when it detects that the webcam does not have LED notifications. To enable it, you must be signed in as an administrator.
