Microsoft, introduces a Graphin Mode in Windows calculator app. The new update is available for users running Windows 10 version 2004 (May 2020 Update) or newer. Microsoft, adding a Graphing Mode to Windows Calculator, an app included with all Windows 10 versions, hopes to provide students and teachers with a free tool to help schools across the world.
Graphing capabilities are essential for students who are beginning to explore linear algebra. This feature will empower students to learn mathematics by improving their conceptual understanding and attitudes towards math.
Windows Calculator graphing mode features
The new graphing mode feature in Calculator app, You can enter multiple equations into the input area, and the app will graph them in real-time. You can enter multiple equations so that they can compare plots against each other and see the interactions between the lines. In addition, Calculator also allows you to trace the function with your mouse cursor to report exact values at various points on the graph. Offering information on the X- and Y- intercepts, for instance. Moreover, the functionality will also allow the tracing of the function with the mouse cursor in order to report accurate values at separate points on the graph.
Users can change the graph viewing window so that they can see different parts of the plot at different levels of detail, change line visual options so that they can clearly differentiate between multiple plots, edit equations so that they can see how changes affect the plot and correct mistakes, also the color of each graphed equation can also be changed.
Users can easily manipulate secondary variables in equations so that they can quickly understand how changes to equations affect the graph, export graphs so that they can share it with others or incorporate into Office/Teams. Nonetheless, the graphing mode is a welcome addition to the Windows Calculator that most users will find adequate for basic graphing.
