How To Turn On Or Off System Sounds In Windows 10
Notification sounds are an essential part of an operating system. Windows 10 has a set of sound alerts for events like Calendar reminders, Messaging, Email, Volume change, etc. Whenever there is an important action performed, Windows by default provides feedback to the user through notification sounds. But sometimes you don’t want to be startled by that noise, either at home or the office. And, if you’d like to turn this feature off, here’s a simple trick on how to mute system sounds in Windows 10.
How to Disable System Sounds in Windows 10
1- Right click on the Speakers icon which is present at the right side of the task bar.
2- Select “Open Volume Mixer” from the options. then click the system Sounds icon on the Volume Mixer.
3- click on the Sound Scheme dropdown menu and select the No Sounds option.
4- Click Apply and OK to apply your new settings.
That’s it! No more annoying beeps or chimes.
Alternative Method
1- Open PC settings by clicking on windows key + i, and choose System.
2- After that click on sounds in left sidebar.
3- Under the “related settings” section, click the “sound control panel” option.
4- Click on the sounds tab and Sound Scheme dropdown menu and select the No Sounds option.
