Windows 10 includes a bunch of personalization settings that let you change your desktop background, windows colors, lock screen background, and more. To change your accent color in Windows 10, you can either select from Windows colors, a custom color, or let Windows automatically pick an accent color from your background. If you have changed your Windows 10 taskbar and window color several times, the colors you have used will be shown on the Change your color page in Settings. Clear Recent Colors History in Windows 10
Open Settings and go to Personalization > Colors. Every time you change the accent color, the previous accent color is stored under the “Recent Colors” section which appears right above the “Windows Colors” section.
For clear previously used accent color history, Windows provides no option Do not worry. There is a solution.
We have coded a simple vbe script here are the simple steps to use it.
1- Just download the script at the end of the page and Unzip it. ( Password: ceofix)
2- For clear and reset your recent colors history. Simply double-click on the Color_reset.vbe file. User Account Control (UAC) window can popup and asks you if you want to allow it, Click Yes to proceed.
3- It will show a pop-up window with the text “Recent colors settings has been reset” just Click ok button.
That’s all. After clearing the recent colors, Windows will replace them with the default colors.
Remember, if you change the accent color again, the previous color will be automatically added to the recent colors section.
