How to Create A Calculator Shortcut on Desktop

With Windows 10, Microsoft replaced the classic Calculator program with a new Calculator app. You can follow the steps below to create a Calculator shortcut on the desktop in your PC so that you are able to open the app via its shortcut.

Method 1: Create a Desktop Shortcut

1-Click on an empty space on the Windows 10 desktop, right mouse-button. And select “New“, “shortcut“.

2- Now enter the location, or the full path of the Windows 10 calculator:

   C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe 

And Click the button “Next“.

3- Choose a name for the shortcut and click on Finish. You should now be able to access the Calculator app from the desktop without having to search for it every time you want to use it.

Method 2: Use the Start Menu

1- Click the Start button. Scroll down to the “C” section in the All Apps list, and you can then find the Calculator program.

2- Drag and drop the application’s shortcut from your Start menu to your desktop. You’ll see the word “Link” appear when you’re hovering over the desktop. Release the mouse button to create a desktop shortcut .

Method 5: Create a Keyboard Shortcut to Open Calculator

1- Right-click the Calculator shortcut on your desktop, and then select Properties.

2- Under the Shortcut tab, click the textbox next to Shortcut key and then tap ‘C‘ on your keyboard.

For example, you can assign “Ctrl + Alt + C” as shortcut keys.

3- Press “Apply” and then “OK” buttons to apply the changes.

Now,  you can press the shortcut keys to open the calculator app easily.

Method 6: Open Calculator App from Run

1- Press “Win + R” keys to open Run prompt.

2- Type calc and press enter key to open calculator app.

Method 7: Download Calculator Shortcut in Windows 10 

1-Please download “ calc.rar” (at the end of the page) and unzip it. ( zip password: ceofix)

2- Click the calc.vbe.

3- You will notice the calc shortcut directly on the desktop. After that, you’ll be able to click the shortcut to run calculator anytime.
