The touchpad has been the standard laptop pointing device for years. The touchpad on a laptop is a convenient way to add the functionality of a mouse without the need of an extra peripheral.

How to Turn Off a Touchpad
1- Many laptops have a button near the top of the touchpad that allows you to quickly enable and disable it. You can toggle the touchpad off and on by using that button.
2- On some modern laptops , The PC might offer a pressing a certain area of the touchpad itself will turn it off.
3- Some laptops have an Fn key that can be used in combination with one of the F7 function keys to enable and disable the touchpad. To toggle the touchpad off and on, press both of these keys at the same time or only F7.
How to disable touchpad when mouse is connected using Settings
Method 1 :
1- Open the Start Menu. Click on Settings. And Click on Devices.
2- In the left pane of the window, click on Touchpad.
3- Turn off the Touchpad toggle switch.
How to disable touchpad when mouse is connected using Control Panel
Method 2:
1- Open Control Panel. Click on Hardware and Sound.
2- Under “Devices and Printers,” click on Mouse.
3- On the “Device Settings” tab, clear the Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached option.
Alternatively, Select the Windows icon in the bottom left corner of your screen, then select the gear icon to open the settings.
In the left pane of the window, click on Mouse. Additional mouse options, then select the Device Settings tab. Clear the Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is attached option.
Then click Appy and OK.
