Create Your Own Colorful Themes in Google Chrome

Google now lets you create your own theme for Chrome. You no longer need to download 3rd party themes to just change Chrome colors. Starting in Google Chrome 77, you can enable advanced appearance options for the New Tab page, allows to apply different colors to browser interface and set any solid color as new tab page background. The feature is not enabled by default and users need to manually activate and enable the feature to use it.

How to Enable Color and Theme in Google Chrome

This feature requires enabling of three flags.
1- Open Google Chrome web browser and type chrome://flags/ in addressbar and press Enter.

2- Now type in the “Search flags” box.

3- Select Enabled from the drop-down box for this all options as well.

Now you relaunch the browser.

Once you enable the aforementioned flag, follow the below steps:

1- Now open a new tab page and click on “Customize” button. and you’ll get the new redesigned customization window showing Background, Shortcuts and Color and theme tabs.

2- Click on Color and theme tab.

3- You can select any desired color to immediately apply the color on Chrome toolbar, tabs and menus.
